Summer of Sports: Euro 2016 Quarterfinals, Wimbledon, MLB

Watching MLB, Euro 2016, & Wimbledon Online and OTA

As the summer heat starts reach new heights, so too does your summer sports schedule. We’ve got a week full of free baseball games, international soccer, and the start of the world famous tennis tournament Wimbledon. If you like sports without cable, then stay tuned because today I’m going to show you how to watch all of these events without paying for a pricey cable subscription. Let’s get started!

How to Watch MLB without a Cable Bill

When reviewing the schedule below of exciting match-ups, you might be scratching your head a little. “How can I watch three games on Fox at the same time? What’s this about Yahoo streaming sports?” Allow me to explain.

This year, Yahoo Sports has the right to stream MLB games live and for free online. All you have to do watch the games streamed by Yahoo is to go to Sports.Yahoo.com. Now as far as all the games playing on Fox, what you need to know is that each game will broadcast in a different market / location.

To access the game in your market, all you’ll need is a simple over-the-air antenna. OTA antennas are great because you get all of your favorite broadcast television for free in 1080i HD for FREE (minus the antenna cost of course.)

Is the game you’re looking to watch out of your market? Check out MLB.TV. It costs $110 a season for every out of market MLB game. But buyer beware, MLB.TV is also subject to blackout rules.

Finally, if you want to catch the games on ESPN and ESPN2, you’ll need a Sling TV subscription. It costs $20 a month, and with that subscription you’ll get access to both ESPNs as well as access to more than a dozen live streaming television channels.  Alternatively, you could get a subscription to Playstation Vue, which works a lot like Sling TV but with more channels, for $30 a month.

How to Watch Euro 2016 Online

Catching this week’s set of Euro 2016 matches will be as easy as 1, 2, 3. Same as with the MLB games on ESPN, to catch this Soccer event all you need is Sling TV for $20 a month or a subscription to PlayStation Vue for $30 a month. That’s it. No muss, no fuss.
