Netflix Summer 2016 Binge Watching Guide

The Netflix Summer 2016 Binge Watching Guide will help you to savor streaming entertainment all summer long.

Netflix is a premiere streaming media entertainment resource, however it is often underutilized by subscribers because they are simply not aware of the thousands of options available to them in hundreds of hidden genres.

Netflix is where it’s at for hot summer entertainment. This guide will offer some savvy suggestions for binge-worthy watching this summer, and a brief explanation of how you can easily view buried categories and sub categories for even more programming options on Netflix.  July offerings are out and include fresh new content including one of my personal favorites: Shameless seasons 1-4.

Get cozy on the couch and check it out now!

Finding Hidden Content On Netflix

If you open up Netflix in a browser on a PC or Mac computer you can easily use a quick trick to locate hidden categories and sub categories on the streaming service.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Netflix and login to your account. If you don’t already have a Netflix account, sign-up for the FREE 30 day trial.
  2. Once logged into your account look up to the web address in your browser. There should be an address that appears like https://www.netflix.com/browse.  To access categories and subcategories that are not readily visible by a simple search you will need to change the web address.
  3. To change the address to see hidden content you will need to add a forward slash (like this / ) and then the word “genre” without the quote marks, and another forward slash (/) and then a numerical code. The numbers in parenthesis after genres listed in this article correspond with numerical codes that represent their genre and subcategories.
  4. You can view and print a list of these hidden Netflix codes or bookmark and reference the list.
  5. OR… an even easier way to get to these categories without having to do steps 2-4 is to bookmark and use this easy to use site which is already set-up to launch to those categories for you.
